Thought I would explain the lack of BJJ Posts lately – Well, we are back at it and in the tail end of Softball season! My daughter started playing t-ball when she was able to join a team and about two years ago she joined a softball team. At first it was all a lot to take in, the rules, the parents, coaches etc. This season she joined a new team and has flourished as a first year pitcher (she has always been a catcher, Practicing for 1.5 years). We got her signed up at a premiere Softball/Baseball training facility in the area and she has had a few private lessons, camps and so forth. She has put so much into this season and the love of the game really shines through. When she gets home she automatically goes outside to throw some pitches into a home made target. Where there is a will, there is always a way! I am so proud of her and all of her effort and watching the practice she has put in really pay off! My daughter told me the other day that she wants to be just like me, eat really healthy and become a professional softball player. I told her I wasn’t a softball player, she said, “I know but you do BJJ”. Even though my kids may not follow in my foot steps in learning the art of jiu-jitsu, at least they have picked up my practice makes perfect example, and having a passion for what drives the soul to compete.
